This is my Agile Coaching Lab Week4 reflection.

This week we mainly focused on Teaching and Mentoring.

The session started with concepts of Training from the back of the room and how to build connections during a training. We did an exercise to practice the teaching skill in pairs. My colleague Marion Veauvy and I have to talk about incremental development — we did a role play, here we go:

Then we learned about Mentoring. In our roles, we often need to explain basic agile concepts in an ad-hoc situation. So, we have to imagine that we are mentoring a team member, who is learning how to be a scrum master. Therefore, my task is to talk about scrum stand-up meetings — Our stand-ups look like status updates. What could we do to make them less boring? Here we go:

It is another interesting week, learned about What is help? and we read the Chapter — “Tao of Holding Space” by Chris Corrigan. The book is a set of reflections on Open Space Technology. My favorite part is Fully present, totally invisible”.

Stop talking, meditate in silence, blunt your sharpness, release your worries, harmonize your inner light, and become one with the dust. Doing this is called the dark and mysterious identity. Your job is simply to be fully present and totally invisible.

We have learned about Dysfunction Personas and seen some interesting videos.

I’m excited and looking forward to the next Week 5 session.
