I would like to share my reflection on the first week of the Agile Coaching lab course.

Intend

I have joined this course to improve my coaching skills since I will be moving to a different department from September 2021. I want to enhance my skills and produce a highly productive team.

Course

I was researching about different techniques and googled to join the course then fortunately I found Agile Coaching Lab. Jakub Jurkiewicz is the founder of ACL has answered all my queries patiently and I got motivated to join the course. The course duration is about NINE weeks.

Week1 reflection

Jakub structured the course very well. The Pre-start session of the course enables us to introduce ourselves by filling “Personal User Manuals” and a letter to myself about the future, imagining what I would have achieved by attending this program, which is interesting.

Jakub introduced us to several tools like Check-In/Check-Out, Emotional Culture Deck, and Work Agreement. The homework is heavy but I have committed now. I have learned few feedback tools like Radical Candor Framework (Caring Personally while Challenging Directly), Clean setup, and Clean Feedback. I also come to know several lift-off techniques like Team Canvas, Moving Motivator, and Personal Maps.

The best part of the course is the team. I met eight amazing team members, they are fully energetic, positive, and supportive. I’m looking forward to the next sessions. So far the journey is amazing. I attended just one hour of the course, lots of homework made me thinking from a different angle, which is a great experience.
